Although premium hard ice cream sales continue to dominate the market, like the devastated clones in Star Wars, soft serve has risen again, thanks to a renewed yoghurt trend.  It has cast aside the appearance of being a bottom-end product ans has entered the trendy shops and kiosks of Singapore and Paris.  Once wed only to those tasteless, cheap sugar cones, it is now served in crepes, waffles and as enticing sundaes, made in front of salivating, pop-eyed customers, who agonize in anticipation.

The Thais love ice cream and pastry, but the leisure-food market has not been well developed outside Bangkok, especially up-country and in the smaller resort towns. In the past, Thais ate mostly low-end ice cream products but as the country has become more affluent there is a growing demand for premium products and new, foreign and exciting foods.
 

In addition, the smaller cities lack sufficient upscale leisure locations, such as well-designed dessert shops where young adults, who have considerable disposable income, can enjoy trendy food and exotic desserts.
 
The Thailand Master Franchise offers an excellent opportunity to gain immediate access to this great potential market, eliminating the usual expensive, time-consuming start-up.
 

Dream Cones Thailand operates its main factory, restaurant and corporate offices in Bangkok with a smaller manufacturing operation in Hua-Hin. These two factories supply gelato (Italian ice cream), pastry and some light foods to franchise outlets in Thailand and a number of non-franchisees, including hotels and restaurants. Some customers purchase machinery and ingredients from us.
  
The primary purchasers of our products usually become franchisees. For the small Thai operator, we offer a low-cost shop franchise, which obliges the franchisee to buy ice cream products, machinery and equipment from us for a period of 5 years. We train them to manufacture and also support them with shop designs, planning and marketing.
  
Shop franchise startup is offered to those wishing to open a shop, small restaurant or sell in an existing establishment. The shop franchise does not have exclusive rights. The package includes training, site selection, outlet design and on-going support provided by us. It allows the franchisee use our company brand, logo, marks and advertising.
  
The small franchise fee is just $1,600 (50,000THB) plus a training fee (20,000THB) and additional costs for on-site work.
  
We work closely with the prospective franchisee on site selection. When a site is selected our designers create a floor plan, rendering, prospective and overview of the proposed shop. We propose machinery and equipment, which we sell to the customer. We also help negotiate leases.
  
The Thailand Master Franchisee would have exclusive rights to sell all Dream Cones products in Thailand. The Thailand Master Franchisee would assume control of both factories and their personnel.
  
The Thailand Master Franchisee would also gain control of the bi-lingual Thailand Dream Cones website, www.dreamcones.co.th, which offers approximately 400 items including finished ice cream products, ingredients, ingredient-components, machinery and equipment.
