The Anzio, made in China by an Italian company, entered production in mid 2011. It is becoming one of our most popular cases, mainly because of its reliability and low price. The Anzio is a static freezer with a system similar to a home refrigerator, running reliably for years without maintenance.

 

A static freezer has its cooling tubes built into the walls of the unit. A ventilated freezer has its main cooling tubes located beneath the ice cream and a second cooling condenser in the front of the display area. Fans blow cold air around the ice cream. Because cold air is blown across the display surface, the ice cream can sit high in the case and be easily seen.

 

Unlike most static freezers, the Anzio has a fan and displays the product high-up, just like the more expensive ventilated models. The cold air circulation assures even temperature throughout the case.

 

Since it has fewer parts, it is lighter and easy to transport to special events.
